I made 1/3 of the recipe and cooked it in a pie dish. I sautéed the mushrooms with the garlic before adding 1/2 over the first layer of the potatoes. Spread the mascarpone, parmesan and cream mixture over. Repeat again, and then end with potatoes. Spread a thin layer of the cream mixture on the top and top with more parmesan. Bake until bubbly and tender.
